Shipping appliation
Once you have decided to move with Jlugagge.com, please contact this
office by phone or email. We will then send you back a set of documents
including an application form and packing list. Our infromation packed is
quite comprehensive so that should normally answer all the questions
you may have but  if you have any questions, please contact us.
You can choose the date for pickup in your application form. Pickup
is availeble Monday through Friday but in some areas pickup on
Saturdays may be possible.  Please give us hopefully more than a week's
notice.  To custom clear your shipment and have your shipment insured,
a documents called "packing list" is required. In packing list, you need to
give description of the contents (for example, books, clothes, cd's etc) together
with declared value and quantiry for each item. We suggest that you make
a memo of the contents as you start packing because otherwise you would
need to open the boxes again and check the contets if you have already
sealed the packed before making the contents list. Although we provide you
with a packing list form, you can also make your own list using Microsoft
Word or Excell. The list will be used at the destination as well at the time
of customs clearance, so make a detailed list and the customs clearance
at the destination may be easier.
Another important document for shipping personal items is a copy of your
e-ticket. By showing a copy of your e-ticket, your shipment can be cleared
customs as "unaccompanied personal effects" for which less export regulation
will apply. If you are leaving Japan and returning to your home country,
there should be no problem but some people travel for a few months before
going home or we sometime receive inquiries from people who left Japan over
half a year ago. In such cases, please contact our office for advice.
